The RAD Play Cubes are open ended climbing and exploration structures designed to support curiosity, movement, and gross motor development from infancy through early childhood. With their simple form and sturdy construction, Play Cubes invite children to move, climb, crawl, and imagine at their own pace.
For younger children, the Play Cube offers opportunities for crawling through openings, pulling up, cruising, and early climbing. As children grow, it becomes a platform for more confident climbing, imaginative play, and physical challenges. The circular openings create inviting portals that can become hideouts, tunnels, or imaginative micro environments, depending on how a child chooses to play.
Play Cubes can be used on their own or connected to other RAD climbing pieces. Add a ladder or a Reversible Climbing Ramp to create a slide, bridge, or pathway between structures, allowing children to design and redesign their play space while building coordination and confidence.
Handmade in our shop from premium Baltic birch wood, the Play Cube reflects RAD’s commitment to thoughtful design, quality materials, and sturdy construction. With 3.5 inch spacing between rungs and a strong frame that supports up to 250 pounds, it is built for active play and shared use.
While designed to encourage exploration and movement, children should always be supervised during play to ensure safe use.
