The Royal History:
Commissioned in 1887 by Tsar Alexander III as an Easter gift for Empress Maria Feodorovna, the original Louis XVI style masterpiece was celebrated for its jeweled exterior and hidden Swiss watch. Following the 1917 revolution, this incredible treasure vanished from official records for nearly a century. In a remarkable twist of fate, the original egg was unknowingly purchased by a Midwestern scrap metal dealer who planned to melt it down, only to be identified in 2012 as a lost imperial relic valued at $33 million. This beautifully detailed homage allows you to bring a piece of that miraculous royal legacy into your own home.
